Tom Hanks in Forrest Gump. i couldn’t imagine any other actor playing such a loveable yet awkwardly funny character. it was actually the first Tom Hanks movie i ever saw and thanks to that movie i thought he was actually retarded. When i saw Apollo13, i was surprised at how well a retarded actor could play a non-retarded role. For that i thought he was the BEST ACTOR EVAR! i asked my mom, “if retarded people can pretend to be normal for movies, why don’t they just pretend all the time?”
…i was 10.
Also, Neo in The Matrix was the first role i ever saw Keanu Reeves play. Back before the movie was parodied and everybody ripped off the bullet-time concept, i thought the movie (and character) was the coolest shit ever written. i can’t imagine any other actor playing a GOOD Neo. Any other action movie oriented actor would have made the character feel less relatable. There was a quality about him pre-Matrix reveal that seemed so “normal” and credible.
( i spent way to much time typing this post. Like people on a videogame forum care what i think about movies. )

Every single one of his roles is annoying, he looks annoying to me, his characters aren’t convincing, he’s ok at playing roles like in The Rock, but when he tries to be all badass like in Ghost Rider (I think that was the name), he just fails at it miserably, he plays in stupid roles (The Sorcerer’s Apprentice), and in general, every movie with his is just bad. I remember ever since I was young, before I even knew his name, I just hated him in every single movie I saw him in.
I thought The Rock was pretty fucking awesome…
