About Kleiner's Injury...

Yes of course, the remaining human survivors are going to risk all manner of deadly creatures (terrestrial and otherwise), the combine, desert conditions, not to mention radiation poisoning, all to repair a massive, top secret facility that most people were unaware even existed, that in all honesty probably took at least a couple of decades to complete (given the overall apparent size of Black Mesa), and also happens to be the epicentre of the biggest scientific disaster known to man.

Erm, no. Also, you went majorly off topic.

On-topic: I didn’t know that was even meant to be Kleiner next to Eli, doesn’t even look like him. Oh well, just another curious incedent of game development…

Black Mesa wasn’t secret. Much of what they worked on was secret, but the base itself wasn’t.

Oh well, whatever. Point’s still valid. :expressionless:

To the outside world it was just one of many giant underground cookie factories in the desert :expressionless:

they where cookie heads that worked on portal, teleprtation and bringing aliens to earth,
now can we get back on the topic?

Are you trying to become a mod or something?

You’re not the boss of me!

/childish tantrum

If any one knew about black mesa in half life you would have seen at least one dead conspiracy theorist dead one one of the top side levels. (they will try and get into any government area because they think it has something hidden)

You know you can just buy a lab coat. Most people were too busy dealing with the whole alien invasion thing to run around making sure every half eaten, burned or zombiefied corpse was properly IDed.

why would they want to run into a facility on the day it’s crawling with aliens and military death squads, and a lockdown is initiated

Yea, now they wonder why the Cookies got nuked by the millitary.

Well they rebuilt Hiroshima.
And when they rebuilt Hiroshima they had to contend with portal storms and alien invasion and the almost complete annihilation of the human race too.

Yeah you’re right. Black Mesa was totally secret. That’s why they stamp a their logo on every crate, boxcar, and shipping container in the complex, and openly advertise employment opportunities on the tramride in. Totally secret.

Yeah but what they did there was secret, so you still might get a conspiracy theorist saying that they were doing experiments on aliens in there or something.

Weren’t they? :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyway, a few posts back, to Skilgannon, yes, that is supposed to be Kleiner. Marc Laidlaw himself said that it was an oversight as to which character model they used at that point in time, but that Kleiner is supposed to be the guy next to Eli in that area.

y-
no, just trying to keep thing in ord–
oh never mind

^Wut :expressionless:

It says “Suggestion Box Features, details and ideas you’d like to see in-game”.

Basically you just post ideas you think would be cool in the mod and the devs decide if they will used them or not.

^this^

How the hell do you go about showing that it’s a conspiracy theorist?

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
