Haha, we had one of those Microsoft Anti-Virus viruses the other day, they get everywhere :fffuuu:
It’s even funnier where it came from.

actually that is not a virus. It’s maleware intended to “scare” people into buying their fake virus scanner / remover. The fake virus scanner is the real virus, it might make the computer part of a botnet or turn it into a zombie sending out infected e-mails to everyone on the mail list or worst.

when I saw that same virus on a friend’s computer 2 years ago I went “wow, it’s actually spelled correctly”

I once made a virus that replaces the boot loader with a collection of BIOS flash programs that automatically erase the BIOS and then formats the hard drive before rebooting. I decided it was too dangerous because a bios chip exploded in my face during testing.

I worked for a computer repair center for about 6 months (2008-2009) and I would see that virus at least once a week (actually took a picture with my phone the first time I saw it because I, too, started laughing uncontrollably). Entertaining virus, that one 
I don’t find it funny. It’s stupid.
the piece you see missing on the pic actually hit me right above the eyebrow, I was going to touch the chip to see if it got hot
the testing board was an asus p2b (pentium III) that doesn’t support bios flashing from windows, my virus had real potential.
I had that virus just a couple of weeks ago.
I LOL’d myself when i saw it. SO fuckin’ easy to get rid of too LOL
