I bet Catz meant to say that the mod will not be released this year. We are still in December, that means that the 2 months are actually December and January, therefore we should expect something in February.
IIRC, there was a thread where some dude said there’s gonna be an announcement near the end of 2010/beginning of 2011.

This is a perfect example of why the developers try to keep these things internal. Dickcheeses the internet over say shit like that website, and people interpret it to mean that it’s been delayed. What the hell? It’s like the people that keep saying that Episode 3 has been delayed. No, it hasn’t, assholes. Valve just hasn’t given us a release date, and this is why.
Anyways, that’s the end of my rant. I just hate it when people are stupid about these things. Which is a lot of the time.

When time management is failed, good games and mods often come out first because their dedication of their work is well-spent and of course they often make updates.
For some people who probably will bet a Dec 21, 2012 release for this mod, I am betting for it, because this will be the last game I will play before the world will come to an end. I don’t think the waiting is good after all.

Little late here… On the subject of this forum’s usefulness, I like lurking here to entertain myself from these useless overreactions by the fanboys. It gets me wondering why they even bother with the newbies anymore…
It blows my mind that an adult would give a fuck about what some kid on the forum says, or some blog that nobody reads writes 2 sentences about someone marginally involved with the mod claiming it won’t be out in 2 months. Are the black mesa developers really that emotionally fragile and overly sensitive that it sends them into deep bouts of depression and anxiety whenever someone makes a guess about the release dates or comments on the content that they have made public? I doubt it. And yet I see kids on the forum constantly claiming that some nobody writing something negative on a blog is the penultimate justification for anything and everything the black mesa developers decide to withhold from their fans. I understand that in the mind of a hormonally challenged teenager, this makes perfect sense, but this mod is allegedly being created by adults, or at least marginally mature students, in light of which this meme about “oh yeah dongwang93 wrote that BM is vaporware on his blog, thats why we can’t see any more screenshots” is fucking beyond ridiculous.
