A new theory as an explanation of Half-Life and Portal stories

^ Maybe is just a dream? I mean he can be unconscius. After all a beam of the chamber hit Gordan in the head and he was not wearing a helm. HALF-life.

i think Caste is right i dont think half life is gonna end in a parallel universe i think its gonna end that Gordon saved the World from the Combine Destroyed Borealis and then it ends in peace maybe a few years after the half life story ends Valve Begin an whole new Half life story like a whole new race trying to invade earth or Nihilant Revived something i think its something like that

If valve do that i will destroy them.

lol why?

I could actually imagine the G-man getting what he wants and sending Gordon back to the test chamber.

The anti mass spectrometer blows up from being over worked before the sample arrives.

Assuming the G-man has god like time altering powers like that, which I don’t.

what is it he wants?

It’s unoriginal and stupid

What is it he doesn’t want?

Not sure, but he clearly wants something. Unless he’s like some giant dimensional 50 year old child playing with his toys. ( insert futurama reference I can’t remember )

Personally I think he’s after control of the borderworld, Xen.

Hence the set up to take out the Nihilanth, the need to destroy the combine, the idea that the Nihilanth was a combine creation.

Right now. The only think we know is that G-man wants what his bosses want. And by now. It’s erradicate the combine from earth

So… now we got: Everyone dies, it was just a dream Gordon had while being unconscious in the test chamber, the combine gives the Nihilanth a res erection and gman wants to take over Xen…

I wounder what kind of theory we are developing here, but I’m being negative and think I will end up like this: :hmph:

The inclusion of the Borealis is the best cliffhanger for me. It makes me geek out more than any other HL story loose-end. I like the Aura teleportation theory. It seems… appropriate. Kleiner said that the Borealis was working on a ‘project of some promise’. I like the idea of the Borealis sailing in international waters to do all the illegally risky space-time ripping experiments, providing the bulk of the ASHPD research.

From the concept art, and the references that both games make to each other, I think we should get used to more crossing over. I would personally get PO’d if they just left it all hanging in the air, making large statements (which they have undeniably already made) then ignoring them.

I think it will even go worst than a :hmph:

“I like the idea of the Borealis sailing in international waters to do all the illegally risky space-time ripping experiments, providing the bulk of the ASHPD research.”

The problem with that is that it disappeared in it’s dry dock. Why would they be doing the experiments in dry dock? Not out at sea? Unless someone turned it on when they weren’t supposed to?

Why would they use a still docked ship for a teleportation experiment? Unless they were trying to transport it? To water? Never thought of that before.

Weird.

DoublePost

You know Aperture, who knows what they were thinking.

ya, she was reactivated 200 years after portal 1

Probably by mistake. The dry dock going with it seems like a small casualty to an unscheduled teleportation malfunction, ultimately wedging it in a glacier.

Lol. Too true.

Yeah it probably went off when it wasn’t supposed to. Personally I think and wouldn’t be surprised if the G-man had something to do with it.

I just think that they were putting combustible on the ship or something like that and some1 by accident (or not) f*cked the entire teleportation sistem…
