A Half-Life 2 Mod I Just Can't Find

Before I upgraded my computer without backing up my mods, I had a really simple shoot and run mod for Half-Life 2. It started in a prison, with the G-Man standing right outside the door. He then turns around and walks up some stairs, and a scanner flies by, and all of a sudden the door falls in. Does anybody recognize this? I just can’t for the life of me find it.

I might be meshing together a few mods, but I recall several other locations: the island (near the prison), some sewers (there might have been a driving sequence, but again, I might be mashing together other mods in my mind), a hotel/resort, and a train station.

If anybody else remembers this mod, please let me know.

I believe it is called ‘The Veiny Dick Chronicles’.

Wow, do you have to do that to every thread.

That might be the Providence mod.

Nah, Provenance was the really cool Black Mesa placed one that doesn’t work anymore. But yeah, I thought that too until I downloaded it and remembered. Wait wait wait…

Wait, Providence?? THAT’S WHY I’ve been confusing it with that one… One second please…

EDIT: Hm, I can’t find a Providence, but for some reason, it just sounds right. Maybe the mod starts with a P or something…

Hey caleb, if you have that mod, could you send it to me somehow (post it somewhere, or PM me and I’ll give you an e-mail to send it to), just so I can find out?

Cannot say I am familiar with that mod… and I have played ALL the HL2 and HL mods, well that are on ModDB anyway… Do you have Synergy? Maybe it was a level off of that?

EDIT: Now that I think about it, that does sound familiar to me… Really familiar to me, and I think it WAS a Synergy map, here ill look it up for you man.

Here you go… https://www.dominionstudios.net/cms/content/syn_prison I hope that is it, because it sounds somewhat familiar to what you had.

Try checking at PlanetPhillip forums, the main site has over a thousand mods (all single player, so no multiplayer crap to sort through) and there are at least a handful of people who have played all of them. Your description sounds relatively unique, so it might just trigger someone’s memory over there.

Haha you mother fucker. I don’t care if its stupid, it’s hilarious. Please don’t stop, even if they try to pull you down keep your head up high, AND LET THE VEINY DICK CHRONICLES RAIN FROM THE SKY AS YOU FEAST FROM THE FLESH OF 1000 UNICORN BABIES!! bscly.

Mmmm, maybe this mod is the one you are looking for:
Rio Act

:hmph:

You’re thinking of Offshore:

Almost sounds like vanilla HL2. Maybe mods reuse those assets/locations so it’s less work.

O_o

Yes, it is Offshore:

Well damn, looks like I got a long way to go to play all HL2 mods.

Thank you petifog and PlanetPhillip! I had just started working my way through PlanetPhillip’s archives (after several dozen other sites, each with… quite a number of mods. A large number that I am ashamed to have gone through.)

Thank you very much.

EDIT: Can’t find a download, on the official Offshore site or on Planet Phillip’s profile page.
EDIT: Nevermind, just not familiar with the site, I found the mirrors.

You’re welcome.
