A Good CellPhone Brand?

Whats a good cellphone brand to get? Ill be using it just for talking and writing down reminders/making lists(like Santa  ),take pictures ,and not for browsing the web or anything else. I dont want something really expensive, but something decent (at least 1 MP camera). Im in Canada, using Rogers. I dont want anything above $200.

Yours sincerly, Shifty the Wifty Difty.

It would help to know where you are and what provider you are using.

A price range may work too.

And is that upgrade or full price?

I suggest the Samsung Gravity. Superb phone for the price.

In my experience, an iPhone is a good brand. They have an AT&T contract, which may be inconvenient, but they work fine and the 8&16 gb models are in your price range…

If you want a phone that you know you’re gonna be using for a lot of text messages and games and dumb shit like that, go for something by LG.

Sidekick LX

SAMSUNG or HTC

Nokia

I have a Samsung S5230, sucks for web surfing but pretty good for everything else

That’s quite understandable. The more expensive phones out there aren’t for everyone. You need to really have use for their features to get your money’s worth. I’ve been using smartphones for the past five years, so I’m definitely not someone who can give you advice on a cheap and decent phone.

Just wanted to get my $0,02 in about mobile devices though. The new Google Nexus One phone that’s come out is an impressively good-looking and speedy machine. Once the European equivalent, the HTC Desire, is in stores I’ll be among the first people to rush to the stores to get it.

Motorola DynaTAC

I have a Samsung U600. Cost me £30 pay as you go. 3.2 megapixel camera, bluetooth, mp3 player, none of which I use very much :stuck_out_tongue:

I really don’t get on with touch-screen phones so it does me a treat. Its also half the size of a touch-screen one

I’ll echo many people in here, Samsung. I have a pretty cheap one, a Toco Lite, but it does the job fine, with a gd touchscreen for such a cheap phone
.

Sony Ericson or Nokia.

I’ve had 2 Samsungs so far, and both of them have been shite (currently using a Samsung F490 and it’s one of the worst touch phones I’ve used).

Nokias are still the best one’s I’ve ever used.

because you can derail a train with a nokia if you put it on the tracks and it would still work afterward

NOKIA

Everyone in this thread is fucking wrong, including the person who said Samsung OR HTC.

It’s not shitbrand OR HTC.

It

IS

HTC

HTC > All

I find it hard to figure out if it is the phone that sucks or the service. When I figure out that earth shattering problem I will be sure to offer up my opinon about an actual phone. :frowning:
