64-bit?

I’m using a 32-bit Windows 7 right now, but then i found out my CPU can handle 64-bit OS. I want a 64-bit Windoes 7 to get all that 4GB RAM, but i still have several questions:

  1. Intel Core i3 supports 64-bit right?
  2. Should I get 64-bit?
  3. Will I need to format my HDD to do a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit?
  4. Is there a way to upgrade a 32-bit Windows 7 directly to 64-bit without losing my data?

Thanks in advance

EDIT:
Extra Question:
5. I have drives C :\ and D :\ on my Pc, if i Install Windows 7 on C :, then D :\ won’t be affected right?

  1. Yes.
  2. Definitely.
  3. Yes.
  4. Nope, clean install, better start backing up your shit.
