3D Monitors

Hi all, first post. Been reading the forums for a while now but just thought I’d ask a question on here seeing as we’re all into our games.
I’ve been looking into 3D monitors recently, mainly the samsung 2233RZ. I was thinking about buying it for the release of cod mw2 but I was still undecided. I also read you’ll mainly get more of a ‘greater depth’ to a game rather than the illusion of objects leaving the screen.
But to replay HL (BM) in 3D is really tempting.
Has anyone on here had any experience with this or any other 3D monitor.

I tired a 3d monitor once, gave me a headache. It didn’t look 3d, it looked like flat pieces of paper laying at different depths, without a sense of actual 3d.

This^

Never had an actual 3d monitor, but played with red blue glasses. It was cool for a few minutes and fun to show off, but I really didn’t end up using it that much.

A giant monitor with high resolution will give you more immersion than a 3d monitor.

on the GC in germany was a very good 3D Monitor setup, with the special glasses it looked amazing like holograms

Are you guys talking about NVIDIA Stereoscopic 3D?

Yes Salvert, you tried it?

i havea 1D monitor all i can play is loading bars and i read forums un morse code

I’d love to try a 3d monitor, but i have a problem with my eye, i can’t see things in 3D…not even with the glasses :frowning: a pity… for example if i go to the cinema and watch a 3d movie, its just like a normal movie to me with some red and blue shit thats all :frowning:

Yeah, I’ve tried 3D monitors before, and this is the perfect description.

I have the same thing mate, I think 3D technology is pretty cool, but I can’t use it. Spose I’ll save money on TVs in the future

well, those simple red-green(or blue) glasses are just stupid and can’t simulate 3D in the slightest
