30 second steam blackout

a 30 second steam blackout happened around about 12:00 today (GMT+11),
i had to restart steam. also the steam website didn’t want to load!

who else had it?

Do you think steam saw the future of its self?

Someone was trying to divide be zero, because it happened to me as well.

Shit guys, it’s happening.

Steam is becoming self-aware in cyberspace.

This happens all the time, its just the steam network…doing things

We can only restrain it for so long. But it’s getting more powerful…

first step, take over systems silently, second step, when we least suspect, it will take over the world! third step, create humanoid robots to kill the remaining survivors - and if it fails send the robot back in time!

When it blacked out, it had a flash forward, where it saw that it was self aware, and that instantly decided to start reprogramming its self into a form of AI that believes that it’s all powerful and will seek to take over the earth from citadel station, a station that was hacked by the hacker to remove the moral constraints coded into it.

What the fuck.

wtf at what?

They do maintenance at around 10am GMT-8 when not many americans are on steam. Question solved.

Damn foreigners and their 10am gaming.

Don’t forget: time is not equal around the world.

I see.

And seeing as Valve is based in Washington State in the US, it makes sense that they would cater to their US audience more than their overseas ones.

You know what’s weird, when my internet access is completely blocked by my ISP, steam still works.

Isn’t it creepy?

Steam is protecting you.

Sometimes I wonder if Steam could be my web browser since it’s obviously easily do-able.

I didn’t see anything happen.

I FELT IT

:hmph: Good lord, its the end of the world as we know it isn’t it?
.

OMG! You didn’t get to play your games for a whole whopping 30 seconds! Oh heavens! Whatever will we do?[/sarcasm]

On topic: Didn’t notice it though, even though I was probably logged in and playing at the time. Probably why…

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
