2.Someone Nukes Someone and so on until the Earth is completly destroyed.

Just like any other flu (mainly because it is just like any other flu), it got contained and treated. The whole thing was blown way out of proportion by the media, causing mass hysteria.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to 2012. It’s a win-win situation for me. Either there is a doomsday and mankind gets what it deserves, or there isn’t a doomsday and I can spend the next few days laughing at all the idiots that believed/panicked and gave up everything in their lives to take refuge in a bunker with a bunch of dry food and books on how to repopulate earth.
Enh, I think the “mass hysteria” caused by the media blowing it out of proportion is what directly lead to it being able to be contained and treated. If the media treated it like “enh”, people wouldn’t demand something be done.
There won’t be a doomsday in 2012. The Mayans simply said that the current calendar would end and a new one would begin…like what happened a few centuries ago. The world didn’t end then and it won’t end in 2012.

There’s a solar storm happening right now - according to NASA solar storm activity is going to steadily increase until it reaches it’s peak “around 2013” (read: December 2012).
But the next major solar storm is predicted to strike earth in 2011.
