And have one be a Glock 17 and the other a Glock 19

Also, give us duel wielded crowbars, 2 million dollors and a car,:retard:

I would’ve thought that would be clear by now; one-handed so that Gordon can use the other hand to hold the top-hat for when he has the duet with the head-crab after Blast Pit.

DO WANT

[COLOR=‘Red’]Topic, guys.

Only one I don’t like that much is this one:

Purely because VALVe has already recreated this scene in the way they wanted it, and the BM Devs refused to use VALVe’s approach to this scene.

What’s the problem with it? They rearranged the room, added a few more objects to make it source like? It seems like a much more realistic entry way then the one in the original half life in terms of the way it’s set up.

Ah, i see. And here i was thinking we wouldn’t get a straight answer. :3

I was talking about how you see the room again in Episode 2 during Gman’s little talk. It shows a source version of the Black Mesa lobby, with Gman sitting at the front desk.

I don’t see anything in that picture to suggest it’s the Sector C lobby. Looks more like an exec office to me.

Well you can see the computer screens on the left wall, just not in the screenshot.

Other than that, Gman likes to take Gordon to memorable places. I’d say since the Sector C lobby was the first time you saw Black Mesa from inside, it’s a pretty memorable place.

It’s pretty obvious that it’s meant to be the lobby from HL1. Either way, the lobby’s been finished, and the devs aren’t going to change it. Hopefully after the mod’s release someone will remake the lobby shown in EP2 using the .fgd that’ll come with the mod.

^

But why? The Black Mesa one looks so much better than that blank lobby shown in Ep2. Valve wanted to remind the Player of Black Mesa, to illustrate G-Man’s words. If it wasn’t for the big screen behind him looking almost exactly like the one in AM Entrance, I wouldn’t have associated that place with Black Mesa at all to be honest.

Mostly for the sake of accuracy to the original, and for those who’ll actually play BM before HL2 and the episodes (as a few people i know will) they’ll actually understand that’s where Gman is supposed to be, rather then some random BM lobby you’ve never been to. But with better lighting, the new textures, and some people moving about, It would look a lot more lively.

Same here. In the original there wasn’t a door, and the huge thing on the wall wasn’t a screen but a billboard. Plus the vent’s missing and there’s a real lack of lightning.

^ Right

I have the same idea as Lamsey.

Maybe Gman lobby in BMRF

Blank and empty room with shiny widescreen? Reflects his character and personality rather well.

Any new media will be my favorite media.

Vent missing? I’d say there’s a bit too many of them in that pic
Anyway, I agree that the ep2 room doesn’t really remind me of the sector C lobby.

On topic: I just love the soundtrack.

What’s that faint scraping noise? Is it a can of worms being opened up in the g-man thread?

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
