I always found the shadow under the catwalk very strange.
What about it is strange?
Am I turning you on? Is it my clean, close shave? :jizz:
I just have to post these because they are beautiful. And alot of people probably haven’t seen them. You can really tell that the final product will have a visual style that is all its own. Even if the gameplay ends up to be meh (which I highly doubt given that its bloody half-life) it will be a pleasure to stroll through such highly polished maps.
The rest can be found here: https://www.rabidmnky.com/index.html
Edit: Also, Spencer, if you are reading this, on the website the dev section of Inbound is bugged. Almost all of the screenshots link to map_inbound_dev2.html
i havent seen those thanks.
EDIT: Woah, new gameplay?
“a vertical gameplay element is added by creating a puzzle where players must raise the missile from the silo.”
https://www.rabidmnky.com/map_OAR.html
I find it kind of funny that he chose the most complicated silo design possible because it looked the coolest, without any regard to how much work it would entail for him.
Now that’s dedication. :freeman:
Edit: By the way I find any and all things to do with development fascinating. I really really hope we can get to see more behind the scenes stuff after the game is released.
FUCK YEAH.
Awesome. One little thing tho: the missile is lacking a Black Mesa Research Facility logo.
Niceee, havent been on there in a while so these are new to me!
Indeed… =(
If you change the number on the end of the link to the number that the thumbnail is on the page you can still see the larger versions though. :jizz:
I cant get over the fact that there’s less than 2 months left, Im freaking out here
Until what?
=/
Wow, really liked those screens in Rabid’s website. Really good work man, I particularly liked the ones with the HECU in control of the damm. That place sure looks like a whole place to explore. I’m sure a grear firefight will be in place.
This is my favourite because the feeling you get after stepping outside that elevator is made of win. :3
That is my favorite media. It makes me feel like one of my least favorite chapters of HL will be made into one of my favorites of BM.
barney: ahhgghhh hhhgggh i’m not gonna make it
gordon: savagely hits with crowbar
barney: i’m warning you–
gordon: whack
barney: don’t make me hurt you–
I like this part because the power up barney is the hardiest cripple of all time. Also, choo choo trains.
Hahaha, your depiction of the Barney-Gordon interaction in Power Up perfectly represents every one of my Half-Life 1 play throughs
This is one of my favorites (although it’s so hard to use that word considering everything the devs have shown us). It portrays the team’s focus on making Black Mesa a real, functional place. In Half-Life 1, why was there a monstrous elevator connecting a room (that only has one man-sized entrance) with a trash compactor? In BMS, that room becomes functional - several bay doors, a forklift, evidence of maintenance and human activity. It’s the addition of myriad little things that add to one big thing - a great looking environment (and game, once we get it). Plus the lighting just looks awesome in this room.
[COLOR=‘Red’]I would say the part in the trailer where the jets fly by the mountain side…makes my eyes tear up a bit
My favourite BM media would have to be one of these:
:jizz:
^ i especially like that last one. I like how you can see part of the bombed-out office on the upper floor.
