Your Favorite Original Soundtrack

So whats your favorite original soundtrack?

Mines a toss up between Red Alert 2’s soundtrack and Trigun Happy Doughnut Pack.

I guess you could just post your favorite any kind of soundtrack but non-original soundtracks just end up sounding like Mix CDs IMO.

Starcraft 1 and 2, Mass Effect 1 and 2, Day of Defeat, Metal Gear Solid, Ace Combat 5

Shadow of the Colossus is the best one in my collection. Some other good ones are Killzone 2, Myst, Riven, MGS4, Katamari Damacy.

Rayman 2 from the Nintendo 64, it’s perfect in every way.

Riven is VERY high on my list, and the Terran themes from Starcraft are up there as well.

But there are so many soundtracks that I have, and I don’t listen to them all all of the time so my favourites change daily.

QUAKE II

Baldur’s Gate II.

Chrono Cross

Both of these are good. Quake II’s works with a bunch of things, but I dunno, even though I like a ton of Chrono Cross’ songs, I can’t listen to most of them unless I’m playing the game.

Sorry for the necro, but this deserves to be said:

Medal of Honor: Frontline.

Fuck. Yes.

Seriously, check this shit out right now:

Hell, just find all of it.

Elder Scrolls 3 and 4, and I agree with you on Terran themes Zageron.

Also DOW2! Great soundtrack there.

The Darkness

Crysis

Myst and Riven are easily the best.

Might not be the kind of music you’d download and play on your iPod, but no music since has set in-game atmosphere nearly as well.

Chaos Theory - Chaos Theory (Soundtrack To Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell 3: Chaos Theory) by Amon Tobin, full stop. The game’s music is incredible. Tobin’s work on the soundtrack to inFAMOUS is also not to be missed.

Games - Quake 2, Max Payne, Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, Assasin’s Creed 2, Mass Effect 1 and 2, Halo 1 and 2 and Half-Life series.

Unreal Gold.

Always like Morrowind’s, especially the menu theme.
