Well, if it makes you feel any better, I have been thumped several times by the Steam Forums. Not banned, just issued infractions for alleged “spam” posts like “Lol! pasta! LOL!” and “Perhaps it was a valve employee? Lol!” and other such harmless banter. Come to think of it, each time I was issued an infraction, it was over a post with “LOL” somewhere in it. hm, perhaps I just need to refrain from humor when posting there?

Anyway, there does seem to be a lot of temp banning going on around here for both serious and playful instances. So I wouldnt take it to heart. =D

the steam forums is particularly close minded when it comes to banter and that stuff. also the cencorship and stupid word filtering.
I realize they do it because of minors using the forums. And wanting to keep it civil. I still enjoy adult forums a lot more.

only word filtering that I like is “pissed” -> “jarateed”

An achievement unlocked means success. Getting banned would mean a success. It would be an unlock pic then would it not? Shall we test the waters mattemuse? Banning you would test this theory nicely dont you think? Oh wait, this isnt an actual feature of these forums.

It is an unlock pic in my sig, because i’ve been banned from this forum. So no need to test :3

On the other hand it’s possible that the “lock” icon is just causing confusion because the OP meant it in the sense of being “locked out” of the forum, not meaning to imply anything about achievements being “unlocked.”

In that case, simply having the image in your sig would mean its been accomplished, as it is in (rot)(fodder)'s case. But I like my interpretation better for some reason.
