RIP to your car and your wall.
Good thing you’re still alive.
Sucks that yours was the only wall that got punched.
Yes. How unfortunate that nobody else had their shit destroyed as well.
That’s literally retarded. Why would you wish that somebody else’s things were destroyed as well? It’s lucky that nobody was hurt and that it was fairly isolated, because if it hit somebody else’s wall they might’ve died.
I’m actually surprised it took this long before someone came to take Tiki’s life.
That’s not what I mean. It’s just a bit of shitty luck that of all the wall, or anywhere else on Earth for that matter, it was his bedroom wall that got hit, that’s all. I’m not wishing death on anybody else, jackass. It’s like saying “What are the odds?”
Of course it’s good nobody else’s apartments got screwed up, since I bet most of those other bedrooms were occupied at the time.
Human safety aside, it’s a slight pity. There’s nobody equally afflicted with which to have a sense of camaraderie. Although, nothing too valuable was destroyed in the bedroom, so I don’t care TOO much about that part.
Other than the wall. I quite liked having a wall.
Now, why does the harm of others matter?
It’s a normal human reaction in disasters to want to NOT be the one who got harmed the most… even though that usually entails hoping someone got harmed more.
I refer you to a portion of The Simpsons, in which Homer is in his car and gets rear-ended. He is surprisingly calm for having been in a traffic accident. As justification for his tolerance of the situation, he says
Well, I hope I got him more than he got me!
Stepping out of the car, he realizes that he is in his own driveway, and has backed into Marge’s car.
Doh!
It’s a lot easier to accept my vehicular damage considering so many other cars got screwed too. We can relate to oneanother. We can explain everything, happily, as the others’ insurance companies call us… because we’re fellow innocent victims.
If my car and the assaulting truck were the only things harmed, I’d be more pissed. And if the truck itself didn’t take any damage, I’d be mega-pissed.
Don’t think that I haven’t considered an ex may have hired this guy to take down my beautiful car (and me behind it). The straight path and lack of skid-marks (indicating no braking) is very suspect.
3:45 am? The guy was probably asleep behind the wheel… that explains your lack of skidmarks.
Niggling aside, I’m genuinely glad you’re alright, and I’m sorry about your car and your wall.
fucking hard to find good hitmen these days.
as you can see.
New information, guys!
Yes, he was arrested when getting out of the hospital. He faces the following charges:* Driving under the influence of alcohol
- Driving with a revoked license
- Falsifying information on a police report
- Driving a vehicle without insurance
Um, I’m a bit concerned about that last point.
It’s weird to imagine that someone can fuck up so badly in one day.
Talk about a cavalcade of bad mistakes.
Dammit, That’s the last time I hire Niko Bellic to kill anyone
wow. If this guy wasn’t in the gutter to begin with, he’s certainly gonna be it now ._.
What’s gonna happen if that man is unable to provide you with the funds for a wall repair?
Your car is in your bedroom and your wall is missing.
Yet you’re pretty calm.
How?
Well, good luck getting everything fix up.
Sorry for your loss.
I bet the driver just stepped out of his truck hammered and got the fuck outta there quick. He knew he was in deep shit and prolly fled the scene. and by fleeing the scene, I mean limping away from all the cars he totalled.
Did the driver stay at the crash or was he gone before everyone came to investigate?
He was there. Tiki spoke with him. Yay reading!
He’s just two years older than me, I realize your concern-- but he listed his “Religious Views” on Facebook as “Arizona Diamondbacks” so I have a feeling he wasn’t the next Socrates.
Fortunately that wall is important to the building, and condominium association, as a whole-- which is well insured.
Damages inside might not be given as much attention (I’m hoping the damage to the doorframe is covered)… but the exterior wall and window are accounted for.
He walked toward where he had crossed offroad in order to enter the parking lot, which brought him out of view of the cameras which recorded the accident,
but he was was recorded walking back toward the complex (in a big curve) where a resident (on his way out to view the crash) spotted him.
After he passed this resident, he made a weird gesture… looking down toward his forearm and holding his fist in front of him (palm upwards)…
which I loosely believe represents the realization of “fuck, I’m not getting out of this”.
He walked past the mailboxes and made a big circle back toward the truck (whose engine was somehow still idling). He stood to the side and explained that he was just a passenger, and tried suggesting that the real driver ran off after the crash.
Obviously not a very good alibi. A neighbor immediately noticed that the armrest between the passenger- and driver-seat was still down (which should have been lifted if a passenger were to have crossed over and gotten out of the vehicle on the driver’s side, which he’d’ve had to-- considering what remained of my car was on his passenger-side).
Smart, smart. Well I hope everything goes in your favor from this point on. and i hope you get that beautiful ride back.
