(yet another) ZOMBIE SHOOTER!

I was messing around in FL Studio one day and made a cool sounding song for once[/SIZE], and I thought “God I wish I had something to use it in!”. So I decide to make a small game; Nothing too small or too big, just something for mindless fun. I had finished a playable version (v0.3a to be exact) and created a Changelog and such. I also made a theme song (Which I believe lacks more than the actual in-game music, for some reason) for it, which plays at the main menu. There are many more features then just THAT, for cryin out loud! Just play the damn thing!

Screenie:

(Yes, I took a snap of the very start of the game. Woo.)

Please post some ideas or criticism! …Well besides Maxey of course. He is more than likely going to post a witty comment about my post and laugh evilly while holding that glass of wine with that evil grin of his. :awesome:

cool. But it’s very boring at the start of the game and Zombies are nearly invisible.

What difficulty are you on? Easy is a 4 second delay, Normal is 3, Hard is 2 and Demented is 1. I’m guessing Normal? If so then I will bump up the spawn rates for each difficulty

And the Zombies being hard to see is probably from the fog. I will make it less opaque/more transparent so it is easier to see them.

EDIT: Right after I reboot my PC. Apperantly my sound driver got disabled, some critical services got stopped, which wont let me run the game properly or open the editor. And Finally I cant listen to NIN. :rage:

UPDATED.

awesome game, hard is pretty entertaining. Keep up the good work!

And what about Demented…?

Pfft…Good luck on that!

Also, thanks! :awesome:

(EVERYONE START POSTING HIGHEST SCORES ON DEMENTED. INCLUDING TIME, KILLS, SCORE, AND THE DEATH MESSAGE.)

MY LATEST SCORE:

TIME: 45
SCORE: 46008
KILLS: 47
DEATHMSG: You shouldn’t of been distracted by those lightmaps…

What did you code it in?

I used Construct, which uses an event system rather than code.

It also uses Python for Scripting, which I am itching to learn just for this. :fffuuu:

Nice!!! Everything looks great but you might want to make spawned guns & shits more noticable.
…But still, it might look bad if you do that. It’s your call.

Ill add that to the changelog.

…And then fix it.

Looks like mindless fun, which is awesome (but only with zombies) I am trying it right now. Be back in five.

EDIT: IT IS EPIC FUN. Tried demented. Died in about 30 seconds. So I went to normal and played. Lasted for about 400 second with a 66,000 somehting score. Death line thing said BANANA.

Only problem I had was is that the shotgun has low ammo in comparison to machine gun. I know it is a shotgun, and that a machine gun uses ammo faster, but still. 10 shells is kinda steep, especially when you are sourounded and runnin on a pistol. But thats just me. Makes it hard to fight em off though  always a plus. Never wanna make it TO easy to play.

Shall I bump it to 15 shells?

No, im adding it now, you cant stop me. New update comin soon

Those extra 5 shells were helpful. I mean that not sarcastically. They really did. It made the shotgun more worth picking up. And wow that map size is huge! :fffuuu:

UPDATED AGAIN.

I haven’t updated in a while, but I am adding a new feature to the game that I am sure you will like!
