I concur. And honestly, after seeing all this bitching about Xen not looking as boring as in HL, I´m starting to think that we just don´t deserve anymore media releases.
I was surprised that we even got the screen shot we have.
Xen is one of the things that no mater what they do some one some where will be pissed. we all know it was the week point but there are some fans in the half life community that will yell at you if there isn’t X in Y location.
Example I will yell if we do not have the two locations where the vorts are not hostile, but I also know that if they are changing the layout said locations could be changed drastically.
Yeah… Some people on the steam discussion page where complaining how the Black Mesa game changed things and how they only wanted a graphical port…
Imagine their rage when xen comes out.

Not always. I tried to port some content to the PS2 Version of Half-Life, half of the fun was figuring out how to actually replace the content and make it work within an emulator.

Oh I don’t take any offense don’t worry I know very well his work on Hazard Course since I’m following them from the very begining, and I highly respect him for his great work.
Anyhow, I still can’t wait for Xen. The fact that it’s going to have a complete revamp in gameplay mechanics and such, excites me very much!

Only a rough time in Summer 2017. Perhaps in the end of June or in early July, even in August, will Xen be released, just wait.

I think It looks better than Xen…and the whole “It looks like a cave” stuff I kinda understand why is the area less alien-like. From the story´s point of view it´s logical that this area has been probably researched and rebuilt by BM scientists for a long time and many samples have been taken to the facility before the resonance cascade. Freeman will be probably the first who will get further, beyond these areas and explore other deeper, unknown and untouched areas of this border world which will be more alien-like with less BM technology…
Scientists need a basecamp where they can live normally.
Cause I guess the atmosphere is not very human-friendly outside those cave and maybe by terraforming those part, they can keep the pressure low on their job!
Get out of their suits, relax,… Have a cup of coco or English branded tea!
