Xbox 360 RROD has returned

Really? Those suckers are overheat-happy. Half the time I can’t turn the bloody thing on because it thinks it’s too hot. My 360 worked in the same spot for years.

Never had overheating issues with my Wii, and I even disassembled my unit to put on a mod case. Also, I never stated that there were no hardware failures for the Wii, just the least amount. I believe, on release, there were about 5% of units that crashed when booted. whereas the 360 has a 100% failure rate. You know it’s gonna fail when you purchase a 360, it comes with the territory. Just hope that when it does fail, it fails within the three year warranty. I can tell you, that I’ve already had my 360 hardware failure within a month of purchase. I sent it to Microsoft, who promptly sent me a new unit, because they couldn’t fix the problem.

Touche. However, I’d do that if I had an HDTV with an HDMI cord, which I don’t. Plus, even if I did have an SVideo port on my laptop (like my old one), I’d be downgrading my resolution from HD 16 : 9 to SD 4 : 3.

I still don’t see the point, when I could just use my Wii on my TV. But, oh well. Plus, graphics don’t make the game. I believe Crysis proved that. Don’t label me a console prat, however, I go to the Wii for the excellent first party titles, and the new Goldeneye. Then I have a powerful Sony Vaio that can more than handle the games with the goods, so I’ll go to the PC for those games.

can stupid thread die?

Xbox’s die, Ps3’s die, hell, Computers die, deal with it, replace parts as nessecary/wanted.

My X360 got the RROD, and lived…

I think the discussion turned from a douche being a douche to a general discussion of how horrible and cheap Microsoft makes their hardware, and how we see Microsoft being better suited for the software business.

awww man this sucks.

Well, I had two Xbox 360s die on me. First one was after three months, second one was after a year. My current one has been fine so far, but that’s probably because I don’t play it very much. It also scratched up my CoD4 disc for no apparent reason once.

But if I didn’t think it was a worthwhile investment, why do I have upwards of 30 games for it?

because you are a victim of marketing

i like how heatbomb disappeared, revived his own old thread, and left again.

/thread

im still here. im just trying to keep my posts low so im not seen AS MUCH as an idiot as the last time i was here. and i realize how stupid this comment was.

oh, of course :stuck_out_tongue:

Very true, the day I opened my xbox 360 I was disgusted.

i was like :expressionless:

My pc stopped working about 2 weeks ago (it didn’t even show the bios) so after trying to remove some parts without success I just punched it and it hit the wall and proceeded booting into windows 7 right away, no problems since .B)

I wish stupid first posters would mature the hell up, I swear I wish I could just tell them to shut the fuck up to their faces.

huh?

ODB or me?

Pro-tip: Ignoring the trolls does wonders.

Actually, that was me who revived it. I couldn’t resist adding to it after seeing the thread link ON THE FIRST PAGE. An additional Magic joke was needed to add culture to the already dying thread.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
