If you don’t think references to people like Stiv Bators, Lydia Lunch, Klaus Nomi, and even someone big like Iggy Pop are a stretch for most audiences then you’re on crack. Hell, I bet most fans of the show don’t even know who Henry Killinger is spoofing or why it’s funny.
Not to mention all the obscure references to forgotten Hannah-Barbara cartoons and obscure comic books. I doubt anyone aside from Doc Hammer and Jackson Publick gets all the jokes in that show.

I like how this thread totally went from informing someone about a game to flaming back and forth about other games and then to someplace just beyond the moon.
I’m kinda’ tired of the people who dis on one game or another. In my personal experience with gamers I noticed there are about two or three reasons a gamer hates a game. One, they suck at it, plain and simple. Two, they actually played it and did not like it, if you are one of those people I like you because you actually tried the game before you bitched about it. Three, they take the advice of other people who didn’t like the game, if you’re one of these people you have no right to complain about a game because you haven’t experienced it for yourself and should probably go pirate :pirate: it right now just to try it or get a freaking demo, or better yet, borrow it from a friend that does like it.
And for the people who try to argue with me, don’t waste your energy. I probably won’t be here for a while to check on this thread because I’m not into the whole forum thing as much as the next guy.
What if you played through the first 2 and tried 3 and didn’t care for them? I haven’t played reach but what reason would i have to try it unless the game was drastically different?
You’ve played the Halo “series”, if you don’t notice any difference than it’s the same game just with better graphics and new half-ass story. I’m not saying halo has a half-ass story I’m just saying in general about games. I prefer to stay the neutral party.
What I mean is, you either get the jokes or you don’t. You don’t really have to think about them. I laugh all the time at the show, because the situations they are in are funny, the characters are great, and I get many of the references.
That’s your opinion. Personally, I don’t think they are great either.
