World Cup South Africa 2010

Yes, I know Argentina had many more opportunities, and Nigeria’s goalkeeper was very good, he made very nice defenses. And Argentina was playing well, much better than Nigeria. However, Argentina could have scored 2 or 3 goals if it had seized a third of the the good opportunities it had.

For instance, in a counter-attack there was 4 against 2, how could they miss such a chance? The kick went out of the goal, it wasn’t because of the goalkeeper. And, by the way, two counter-attacks, one followed by the other, were both wasted.

No disrespect intended, shit happens, it’s part of football. For instance, not seizing opportunities was what made Brazil lose for France in the last World Cup.

^ This  You are completely right :stuck_out_tongue:

Yes, but IMO |scoring goals!=playing nice football|. Most chances were wasted by one player only, Higuain. I hope Maradona gives Milito some more time on the field.

And we agree on the motherfucking horns.

OMG Maradona said he would get naked if Argentina won this World Cup :fffuuu:

Anyways, good luck to Argentina.

[COLOR=‘Black’]You will need it LOL.

Yeah those horns, totally annoying…and if it’s that annoying for us, imagine for the players, even Mascherano and Messi said they couldn’t hear each other during the match 'cause of those

And yes, hahaha, Maradona said that, he’d go here : (https://eugefede.files.wordpress.com/2008/11/obelisco1.jpg) naked if we win the World Cup…and then Zagallo said he should Sit on the obelisco if we lose XD

Fuck zagallo[COLOR=‘Black’], and you too, Brazuca, haha

fffff

Both of these. Even if America did (I’m not sure, I don’t care enough to pay attention to it) qualify, soccer is still a shit sport.

:expressionless:

Disappointing performance from England, America played better then I had expected.

zidane

Tell me how has French football become crap now? :3

Domenech

BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
HAI GUISE I MAEK NOISE!!1
BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

yeah, soccer is shit. Football, on the other hand, is not.

Yeah, he should sit there :stuck_out_tongue: [COLOR=‘Black’]And fuck you to, hermano.

It’s not about if your country qualify or not, it’s about culture. The only reason you think football is shit is because your culture says you should play other sports, not because football is actually shit. In other words, it’s discrimination, judging something you don’t know.

Football is a complex game, it requires ability and strategy. It’s not easy to control a ball with your feet, it takes time to learn. And, whenever you try something and don’t succeed, you tend to think that thing is shit. Same goes for everything.

Belgians have a collective “ZOMG FOOTBALL FUCK YEAAAAAAAAHHHH!”-mind (along with tennis and cycling). Football is important over here.

The result is a gradual degradation of our culture due to idiocy, violence and general hatred towards anyone that doesn’t support the team of your choice. Big money is wasted on huge football events, people get killed during said big football events, houses and cars get destroyed during said event.

The sport “football” itself isn’t too bad, everything surrounding it is. Its supporters are retarded and its performers are egotripping rich fags that have to run on a field of grass for 90 minutes every week until they’re 30 and they’re settled for the rest of their live.

Fuck, the newspapers over here even have a special section dedicated to the prostitutes those football players call wives, often with pictures that are nothing short of Playboy-material.

Though I can understand why gugamilare likes football so much. He’s Brazilian, in Brazil, the only way you can get off the streets is to become decent at football so you can migrate to Europe and sit on your lazy ass for a few years while making millions.

Nah, soccer in Brazil is just way too much commerciality famous, in Argentina we are more passionate, same thing happens in England for example

Plus, Argentina has the best players of the international leagues…Eh, hm, Higuain, Messi, Tevez…And Maradona once scored the most beautiful goal in a world cup, isn’t that enough? :stuck_out_tongue:

What happens here is, people that doesn’t know about something, tends to go for what amazes them more, like Ronaldinho doing lot of useless stuff for a Nike commercial…On the field, they do things like this

That’s the real Joga Bonito for them

Pele debuto con un pibe

I had an mysterious dream in which I learnt (without watching the world cup itself) that south africa won. weird seeing as I’m no football fan.

South africa? XD…Yes then, it was JUST a dream xD haha

Let’s cross our fingers and hope they ban those fucking things!

Ghana won the game against Serbia! Yay! Go Ghana!

I understand your concern, we have the same kind of problem around here. It’s a shame, but it’s the people’s fault, not the sport’s fault. The problem is there is too much money involved. Real football (or real sport in general) is not about money. Pele, for instance, rejected many offers to play in Europe because he loved to play football.

Generally, when the audience boos at the players, they get nervous and stop playing. When the audience booed at Pele, he would play with even more conviction. The more people tried to intimidate him, the more he played, until the entire audience gave up and started cheering for him, whatever team he was playing for. This fact alone can tell you who has the heart facing the audience, the fame, and who has the heart facing the ball.

Actually, you only see me liking football so much during the World Cup :stuck_out_tongue:
Regional games have a violent atmosphere, I hate unhealthy rivalry. I hope that one day the players stop counting money and start playing football and the audience stop fighting and start cheering.

I like football the same way I like volleyball, artistic gymnastics, tennis, handball, etc. Everyone likes to cheer for someone they identify themselves with in a game.

I’m very lame as a football player, I’m much better in Math  And I would hate myself if I became a millionaire.
