Yeah I have the same problem with the same updates. I’ve tried disabling the firewall temporarily and the ‘Microsoft Updater Fix’ but still no luck. Damn dirty updates.
OK, here are three other fixes that might work. I’ll go from easiest to the most time consuming.
1 - deleting “Wups2.dll” seems to have help some people.
2 - The problem seem to go away for some people after installing “Windows Live Essential update” in the optional section.
3- Manually installing the updates. open windows update. view details on the update that failed. click more information. There will be a link that will lead to the update’s download. download and run or you can just run the update from the download site.
Let me know if any of that helps.
yeah it’s just the update pop-ups and the fact that you have to renew your subscription
a) you can disable the update pop ups.
b) you only have to renew the subscription one time per year. that’s hardly annoying.
it’s too annoying since i have no use of it whatsoever
the only use it has is scanning, and i dont need a program to run 24/7 for that
still, im too lazy to change anything
