Also @Andy0101, i’m not 100% positive, but I dont think you need to install the game at all, when you attempt to launch the mod it will automatically download just the SDK base /Orange box

EDIT: If your worried about file space, this mod is not for you. When installed it’s going to be very large.

I’m not worried about the file space on HDD, I’m worried about traffic (mobile internet). If the HLDM is small enough, I’ll download it at home, if not, I will find someone to download it for me or go to a public computer.

I would have that friend download the Orange box SDK base for you as well because it is not small.

You may get source sdk to create maps and what not, but he does not have “Source SDK Base 2007.”

i guess the hl2dm folder was 132MB because you already had most resources from other source games,like the guns,textures,models and the engine itself,if hl2dm is your first source game it’ll probably be over 2gb

Umm… I bought Half-life 2 episode 2. There are lots of mods out there that says “requires Half-Life2”. It doesn’t specify if HL2 ep2 is fine. is it fine? I mean… can I download that mod with HL2 ep2?
