Meanwhile, at the Central banks:
they’re gonna shut down the nobel prize ceremony and shoot everyone present just to show us who’s boss
give wikileaks the peace prize. there is nothing our government, or any other government, should hide from us. our leaders operate behind closed doors, and our media sews lies and deceit to sway the public opinion, to confuse and mislead, big business pumps funds into politicians who do their bidding. there’s war all across the planet for petty reasons. we need more people like the folks behind wikileaks. the more atrocities we see, the closer we get to breaking out of this mindless drone we’re caught up in. apathy and ignorance is our greatest enemy now, and the longer we sit back and stay calm, the worse things are going to get. this can’t be fixed by voting. it’s no longer possible to elect an official that takes your interests to heart. there is nothing but greed and bloodlust leading us now, and it’s got to end.
Ugh, I hope he doesn’t win.
Also, there should be a thread about this in the Massdebating hall, not that I’m going to post in it because of the automatic turnout of all politically-themed threads there.

I believe this post has merit. Ignorance in particular seems to be quite pervasive amongst the general populace. Perhaps the problem lies in bureaucracy and red tape, the fact that everything becomes on the face of it so complicated, no one really cares.
Of course, I don’t really claim any real knowledge on anything about this. Common sense should prevail.
With regards to the topic title, I think it will be interesting if Wikileaks wins the prize.
But who’s gonna retrieve it ? Julian ? This guy’s a punk and takes all the credit for him.

Wait, people still care about the noble peace prize? I thought we established when Obama and Al Gore won that they are utterly meaningless awards given to those who the council likes, not those who actually help world peace. Honestly, no one should care.

I agree with this just as much as I agree with the idea of Wikileaks getting a peace prize. Basically, no.
I really want to hear their justification for what he has done for world peace. I’m still waiting for an explanation for Obama.
He has posted leaked documents that could destabilize many treaties and etc. Clearly potentially destabilizing countries qualifies him for the peace prize.
