Who will do co-op?

The FGD only allows you to add Black Mesa-specific entities to maps, materials can be used in other Source engine games and mods, though not without the teams’ permission.

The Obsidian Conflict team was considering it. They were having talks with the devs about it, but I don’t know if those ever got anywhere.

I really hope this isn’t just left to the synergy team to handle. I feel like this conversation has to have taken place multiple times.

“okay, multiple people can get onto the same map? Check. Okay, lets throw in some vehicle spawn for each player and call it a day. player balance? what if someone get stuck? respawning with half health and a single set of ammo, even though they’re in the middle of a firefight that they came into with full health and suit power and completely filled and STILL died? Save games? What nonsense are you talking about? they have infinite spawns and when someone gets to the end of the map, they’ll drag everyone else to the end too. It’s not like that will interfere with enjoying the game at all.”

It would be really uncool if Bms didn’t OK a third party to use their source material. And to be honest kinda hypocrite, you don’t see Valve being all tight ass with the stuff they’ve worked on. But wtv, its up to them. I just want the mod at this point, could be unfinished i don’t care. P.S. God bless those Synergy boys. They work fast and support their stuff.

Everyone who is interested can make BM Co-op!

And what about this “Raminator” person.

Whoever she is, she seems to be dedicated enough to make a co-op.

You want her number too?

Do you guys really want a co-op for BMS? playing the original hl campaign with 2 people wasn’t that great(sven coop on the other hand…), it just wasn’t designed for that. Now custom made maps using BMS materials is a whole different story

Actually, I believe the last word with ram was that he was retiring from level design after BM is done.

He’s more than welcome to change his mind, though. (Please?)

Yeah… I was quite shocked because Ram was one of the best level designer I’ve ever seen.

I beg to differ. Co-Op adds tons to replayability. Playing a game for the tenth time, which I will most definitely do when Blackmesa is out, is a lot more fune when you can play with a friend/friends.

I agree.

But who is worthy enough to fight along side Gordon Freeman?

Ivan?

more like :facepalm :@ punisher and :lol :@ maxey

Um, hello, just exactly where have you played HL with two players that wasn’t of the SvenCoop design? Where have you and a friend been given multiplayer quicksaves?

well what i ment to say is that i didn’t enjoy sven co op’s hl1 maps as much as i enjoyed maps the community put out

EDIT: now if someone redid Decay? that would be amazing, but very doubtful

She definitely has the nose for it, that’s for sure.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
