System spec is:

Geforce gtx 750 Ti

AMD Fx™-4100 Quad-Core Processor

16GB RAM

All drivers up to date.

What have you tried so far, be specific.

Try disabling anti-aliasing, does it still show up?

Looks like you have wireframe mode on (I think?)
Type “mat_wireframe 0” in the console.

Hi guys, ive tried many different graphics settings and it makes no difference whatsoever.

it does indeed look like i’m in wireframe mode but i’ve tried that command in the console and it doesn’t do anything.

The only other time I’ve seen something that kinda resembled this was by setting the game on a lower and unsupported version of DirectX.

Don’t know how would this happen in your case judging after the specs but, try putting in Black Mesa’s Lauch Settings -dxlevel95 (or 90) and see what happens.

Just in case you really corrupted the games config file you could try this.

Go into SteamApps/Black Mesa/bms/cfg, and delete “config.cfg”.
The game will recreate the file when it starts.

From a dev, post #5 https://steamcommunity.com/app/362890/discussions/0/358415738199969778/#c358415738215796417

Still no luck, proper gutted, i really wanted to play this game…

Uninstall and unsubscribe from ALL mods then

Go to ***\SteamApps\workshop\content\362890 (where *** is the location to where your steam games may be)
and Delete all folders within this folder

Verify the Game Cache

Restart the computer.

If that does not fix it uninstall Black Mesa, restart the computer and reinstall the game.

Try -autoexec

I think @bkdale86 meant [tt]-autoconfig[/tt]

Also, try resetting the video driver settings to defaults in the NVIDIA control panel.

What OS are you running out of interest? Are you seeing any red error messages in the console? (default key is ` which is directly below the ESC key and to the left of you 1 key on your keyboard) you can also add -condebug[/size] to your launch options which will create a log text file in your \Steam\steamapps\common\Black Mesa\bms\ folder called console.log (this can be opened in any text editor like notepad) if you can attach that file once you’ve opened up the game and closed it again that would be helpful. Thanks

Our programmer said exec.

Then I apologize.

In any case, the -autoconfig launch option will make a Source Engine game (including Black Mesa I assume) reset its video and performance settings to default for the current hardware detected and ignore settings in any .cfg files. It’s documented here and here.
