White line across the screen

I tried playing the game in DX level 80 or 81, since I can’t run the game in DX9, because I get low FPS. When I set the DX level to 81 in other source games, I always get more that a 100 FPS. When I tried it here, the most FPS I got was 40 and also I got a weird white line across my screen like this:

Anybody else get this?

My specs are the following:
Pentium Dual-Core CPU 2.2 GHz
4gb of ram
Nvidia GeForce G 103M
I am using Win7 Ultimate, 64bit

We do not support Directx 8 or below in the initial release.

We may provide support in the near future.

i just started the game and got the same also some textures missing and eyes are missing in all models.

I managed to get rid of the “weird line” by unchecking the “Enable HUD post process” in Options > Black Mesa. Still having the same texture problems though.

the texture problems are directx related - we are not supporting directx 8 or below in the initial release

Is DX8.1 mode still planned for a later patch?

I’m using an integrated GPU that’s below the minimum specs, and the title screen is completely white in DX9 mode. After bypassing that and getting in game, everything looks fine (Save for the flares, but that’s due to the GPU lacking the proper shader support… :expressionless: ), but I’m getting the fog glitch and performance issues as in other Source games.

Okay i had the same problem for solve it, you must go into the start option and then put
-dxlevel 100 if it’s still don’t work try 110 or 120 or 80
