I seem to remember a news story about a policeman named “Marco” and his buddy and they were looking for this guy who had robbed a house and was still in there. They couldn’t find him so his buddy shouted, “Marco?” to the other officer.

From the attic, the two officers heard “Polo” and arrested the robber.

I can’t find the news story now and I might be flubbing some of the details; my memory is hazy on the story as I read it once a while ago.
