Does anyone know anything about the video and site “Whats In The Box?” https://www.whatsinthebox.nl/, It seems to have stuff from Half Life 2 incoperated into it, The website really doesn’t give anything more away, But after poking around I came across a website in the source code pointing to Babel Research https://www.babel-research.eu/ - forgive me if im wrong but the logos at the bottom of the page look very much like Black Mesa & Appeture science, but I don’t see were the Hanso Foundition fit’s in (something to do with Lost).
Any clues, or am I reading to much into this? , Sorry if this has been brought up before but I didn’t see anything when I searched.

Has anyone found out if the filmmaker has the official permission from valve to use half-life content? I saw an interview with him, and he didn’t ever say a word about being inspired by a game in it. It actually sounded like he claimed to have invented it all by himself. That’s what made me curious.
No, it wasn’t. The people who made this were from Holland or Belgium I believe, while the people behind Escape from City 17 are clearly American.

Nah, but as far as I know valve doesn’t care about reusing their assets elsewhere. Unlike Microsoft, where you have to get a license to use any sounds from Halo anywhere else.
He’s a half life enthusiast, but like I said before, no actual Valve canon or official affiliation.
It’s already been revealed that it was done by some random dude who just wanted to try his abilities at post production effects. If you look on youtube there are interviews with the dude who made it…
