Can’t be as bad as the thermal “pads” in HP laptops, they are even worse than the cheapest thermal paste you can get, and they put them on core 2 duo CPU’s.

My warranty was expired on my 360, I just called support and told them it “clunked out” around christmas and no I’m “stuck” playing the PS3 instead. Actually true, it died about a week after getting my PS3.They repaired it free of charge.
WTF RRoDs are SOO easy to fix… just open it up. See those four rectangular chips positioned near each other? Tape erasers on each of them, unplug the fan. Plug the xbox in and turn it on. Let it overheat for about 15-20 mins, then unplug, take the erasers off and voila, back to normal.
Then run to the nearest mirror, blink your left eye twice, and whisper “Mohammad Ali” 7 times
as bad as that sounds that is not too far off of one of the style of 360 fixes that we do as a last ditch effort.
I still recommend the “home made” Hybrid fix. Also skip the steps that tell you to use credit card strips and just make sure you tighten the screws evenly. also foil modand cpu fan can increase the longevity of a 360 that has been repaired.
Buy a PS3?
Fill the inside with plastic and replace part of a side panel with plexi glass. Then put a bunch of water in it with some goldfish.
