I must find the source of the sampled melody present in these two songs:

Does it ring any bells with you?

Marc Bianchi, From South Carolina
Problem:* Album The Young Machines, which contains From South Carolina, was released September of 2003.
Could it actually be OST?
I’ve yet to meet a mod with an orchestral OST, no matter how short of an excerpt… Plus, From South Carolina’s sample seems to have a substantially higher quality than the WAVs which were earlier included with Sweet Half-Life.
Sweet Half-Life was made by a Japanese modder, and Her Space Holiday made a song named Japanese Gum. It is possible that the source is from a Japanese composer.
Sounds familiar, but I can’t place it. My gut feeling says it’s from a movie, but I dunno.
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
