I just got Civ 5, it’s pretty cool… lots of changes, but I think it’s improved overall. I didn’t “buy” it though, but I probably will if there’s a deal. I wanted to try it first

About to start X18 in Shadow of Chernobyl. This time I’m aiming for the good ending(s). At least now I know what to do. How do you figure it out in the actual game, though? Do you have to talk to a specific person?
You have to go back to Strelok’s hideout in Agroprom and talk to Doc, and he’ll tell you to get a key to the door you need to go through in the NPP in Pripyat.
EDIT: I don’t remember when you get the objective to go talk to Doc, though. I think it’s after X16.
If you don’t have the key just shove a gun in the door.
I thought they patched that bug, but yeah, that works too. Though I found the key on my playthrough.
Not in the steam version.
It’s in one of the hotel rooms in Pripyat isn’t it? I’ll probably try my gun first even if I have the key :awesome: .

I thought this was a Half-Life-based forum. Certainly you realize how long shafts of metal can be good at prying things open.
I overheard some guys at Agroprom saying the Gauss Rifle works best. Something about its length, and the way its shape provides good grip.

Played some Civilization 4 and started to play The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Master Quest.

Found an artifact today in SoC that reduces bleeding by 400% but lowers some burn resistances by 10%. Also found out that Snorks are easier to kill by knife than by gun.
I’ve yet to play CoP since I last played it about 2 months ago, due to having to start over since my game’s only save is 10 seconds before an emission with no shelter anywhere near me.
Xenogears. The game is so epic.
Did you already use that thing that lets you survive them? But yeah, that’s a terrible save spot . Reminds me when I saved in HL right before the guy opening the portal to Xen died. Had to start the entire game over again

And I’m well on my way to getting a good ending in SoC. I met with the Doc though I’m kind of confused. I had went to that place before and nothing happened but this time there was an explosion. How is that?
