What Game Did You Play Today?

Especially at 6 FPS like for me.

UT 2004.

I should fix my notebook so I can play my Source games.

You sneaky bastard. No I will not cheat.

Super Mario World 3.

Fuck yah, just finished Advent Rising. Game was dam hard at points. The difficulty curve was all over the map with this game. Started kind of slow and gave you about enough time to learn the weird targeting system then all of a sudden your bum rushed with wave after wave of baddies. It was fucking absurd at one point. Sent like 50 guys at a time, 20 animal things that can jump all over the place meanwhile you need to progress while under (hover) tank fire :rage: Game also had like 4 boss battles and after each one I would swear the game was going to be over but no. spoiler[COLOR=‘Black’]Then after the 3rd boss battle finally credits. Like the whole kit and kaboodle. BAM they throw in another boss battle. And teleport you to some freezing hell hole.** Was a long game and strangely enough reminded me of psychonauts a little bit (at least the battle mechanics, and the whole superpowers thing, but not the story at all) The way that you could take out a group of enemies any way you see fit. Weather you do it with just guns, just powers, hand to hand or a wicked awesome combination. Plus they were both published by Majesco.
Was fun but it there more than a couple “general protection faults” that dump to desktop, but luckily the crashes would always happen loading the level after a save point, so after restarting the game you were right where you left off. (may be a result of running the game with steam overlay, not sure but meah) You can get the game from gog.com for like 6 bux and it there version will run on 7.

So now that I have it on N64 as it should be, I am replaying through Ocarina of Time AGAIN. As it should be, with occasionally dodgy framerates and low resolution.

Shadow Temple time.

Just finished Metro 2033…
The ending was… Different and mindblowing (mentally), not exactly what I would expect…

The only bad thing about the game is that the engine isn’t exactly that optimized… Sometimes the framerate drops down to 10 fps just by staring at the walls…

Wasn’t that the game that came out last gen and got all hyped up like it was going to be one of the best games of all time but when it finally came out it sucked ass?

There are more games like that than there are numbers in Pi.

Pretty sure you mean Super Mario Bros. 3

Buy revolver and SMG ammo when you get to Riga. Use your revolver AT ALL times, as well as your shotgun, use the SMG only when you absolutely need to, since most early enemies use pistols, you’ll constantly pick up ammo for it while you use it, and bodies can be looted for even more SMG ammo, so you’ll have well over 1000 5.45 rounds and you’ll save military ammo from not having to spend it so much on ammo. It worked wonders for me.

@SURPLUS_NiNjA

The primary problem with it was that nearing its release date the publisher forced the developers to get the game out the door. This causes major game breaking bugs on the 360 version. (Missing triggers that would let doors open, or cinematic that would fail to play thus causing the player having to replay that section repeatedly) Also the game was way over-hyped causing kind of a letdown because they were unable to live up to it. The extra time spend porting over to the PC let them fix most of the bugs and frame rate issues and in turn was generally more well received but the mixed bag of cinematic quality and some lack of polishing is what did this game in.

If you can get past its rough edges it is a fun game. Wish more publishers would realize that shoving a game out the door to soon WILL destroy a games chances of being a good seller.

Mass Effect 2. I have been playing this game too much maybe.
But it’s so fun! :3

Its worth it.

Anyway, restarted Oblivion, and have been playing it nearly constantly since Wednesday. Great game.

The Ghouls Forrest 3… :fffuuu:

Played a little Plain Sight.
It’s a real shame the community is dead so soon after release, it’s a really good game.

TF2

Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence

With the 360 broken, it’s the perfect time to go back and re-play some PS2 games. Forget the PS3 games that I have but haven’t beaten.

Should have read this before I played some more :stuck_out_tongue: . I’ve been trying to be sneaky, using throwing knives as much as possible and only using the guns if people start shooting at me first. Shotgun is second and then SMG and then revolver. Might have to rethink that, though.

Got to the first lab in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and got the shit scared out of me. I see two boxes stacked on top of each other and when I get closer the top one floats to the ceiling. I was expecting it to fly at me but nothing happened so I just went on my way past it. When I get about five feet from it the fucking box finally decides to hit me and in the process makes me scream like a little girl.

It’s good to save up your military ammo by not having to spend as much on cheap ammo, because when you get to Red Station, you can buy either the Stealth or Heavy armor. I personally got the Stealth armor, because you can buy the heavy armor later in the game. With the stealth armor you can move around normally at your running speed and be completely silent.
