What Game Did You Play Today?

DOUBLE POST WOO!

Played some Crysis 2. It’s a damn fun game.

I have been playing WAAAAAY too much Vindictus this weekend. They had a huge new content update, with dueling, crafting, a new town, and for the weekend they had sort of a “free token” event (makes sense if you play the game)
By the way, Vindictus is a free game made in the Source engine.

Except if you live in Europe ;_;

More Crysis! It’s kind of annoying that you can’t untag things in visor mode, but whatevah.

Been trying to get the various House of the Dead games to run, but they’re unstable as anything, if you can get them to run.

I played it a little, but got bored of having to do 15 times the same dungeons to do your objectives.

I played HL2… Only played through it once a long time ago, so I figured I’d go through the whole game again.

The Water Hazard part made me sea-sick or something… after a while I suddenly felt not right and had to stop. I never experienced this before while playing games :frowning:

Trying out Crysis 2. Its some great fun, and I really like the new integration of the suit powers, although I do miss “maximum ______”. Haven’t gotten too far into it, but I can say its less open than the original, but still open enough to have some space for tactics and maneuvering. Pistols no longer count as secondary weapons, making them next to useless as they’d replace a primary weapon. AI has yet to do something stupid, so thats a plus. Environments aren’t as interactive as their predecessors, and I’m really missing that. There is no equivalent for brining down an entire sheet metal structure with a barrel, which was one of the highlights of Crysis.

In short, so far its a solid game thats really fun, suit powers are better, but ultimately lacks a lot of what made Crysis great for me. Worth a play, but its not spectacular.

I feel like the combat is much more solid in Crysis 2, tbh.

And god damn if it isn’t a gorgeous game.

Kinda prefer Crysis 1’s graphics a lot of the time, but this is a hell of a lot better optimized, so massive points for that.

The AI is plenty retarded. Cell guys are pretty fond of throwing grenades at their own feet and more than once I’ve seen them get stuck in skips somehow.

I saw them kill themselves once, but I was laughing too much to really find it a flaw.

The AI is better than most, but yeah I’ve seen it do its fair share of retarded things. Maybe it’s because they have more health, but I find the Ceph to be much smarter and imo more fun to fight, but there’s a bit that’s a fair way through the game (I’ve not finished it yet, so I dunno how far I am, but the game has really gotten awesome) where you have to run down and back a street full of Ceph shooting at you. Fucking hard.

EDIT:

Keep in mind this is with the game on Low settings.

Also, just beat Homefront, and I have to say, it’s by far the worst game I’ve played in a long time.

Man, I hope its on sale sometime this year so I can see how well my Eah 5670 can handle that caliber of graphics

I finally got a chance to check out the L4D2 Cold Stream campaign. Not bad. Needs some “Valve” tweaking, but I had fun with it.

But did you have best antivirus software running while playing it?

Crysis 2

As soon as you start existing babe.

Today I played GIRP.

It’s from the same sickfuck that made QWOP.

Enjoy.

Holy finger-dislocating batman! Asshole’s outdone himself.

Awesome!

I love his games…
