I’ve first encountered this just now and couldn’t find anything about it. It’s an output from an npc_apache on bm_c2a5b. I have no idea what it means.
It’s a root output that’s fired whenever I wake up.
I would guess that this exists because when beaten, the helicopter enemy will first need to find a place to crash before moving towards that place and actually exploding for real. One place where this might be used is in the helicopter fight at the dam in the beginning of Surface Tension, where the helicopter flies away at zero health instead of exploding.
Sounds like one of the programmers was listening to too much Linkin Park.
