Strides! Where’s your remake of HL? We’ve all been waiting very patiently to play it, especially since Black Mesa is never coming out.

lol when did I say I was making a HL1 remake? My old posts are deleted, I’m trying to find this, I honestly dont remember what I said on a forum 6 months ago. But if did say something like that, surely, it was in jest. Didnt mean to get your hopes up. I know everyones really grasping at straws since I think people are finally starting to realize this mod isnt coming out.

TBH I had forgotten about this mod until I read an article about HL3 that jogged my memory. My quotes are always freestyle.

I’m excited to see the atmosphere that’s in places like parts of Blast Pit or Lambda or Residue processing, where the player is just alone and wandering, surrounded by environments that are so beyond control or regular human scale… hard to describe.
also Xen, specifically those parts that are very unique in the game and how the team accomplishes them (Nihilanth, Gonarch, the floating island jumping, etc)
The only thing thats more pathetic than a mod taking 8 years to make, is a mod that took 8 years to make but was canceled at the last moment. They WILL release it just to spite the naysayers.
How dare you question Lord Stides’ creations? He enlightened us all to the hoax that is Black Mesa! We are fools to believe that such a thing would ever come to fruition and you must know that you believing in that affects Lord Stides to a most personal level, so that’s why He insists on trying to make us see the light.
STOP BELIEVING THAT BLACK MESA WILL RELEASE OR LORD STIDES SHALL PERISH!

a successful release date with no more host server crashes. Maybe they should call it Black Mesa forever. It’s been 8 years already.
That’s why never canceling it and pretending “we’re working hard on it” is the best way to save face.
Why would they pretend they’re working on it if they aren’t?

I’m rather looking forward to seeing the AI in the first chapter interacting with each other and the player etcetera.
@bloodshot: There probably won’t be one. Stides will probably just disappear.
On the other hand, stides could just come back to complain about this, that, or the other, claiming that he could’ve made “a better mod without all these problems” in six months.
