I was perusing around the files of the Steam Black Mesa (I was looking for the workshop addons folder to fix an error.)
and I found a folder named “AddOns” in the “platform” folder, and inside was a few files for what looked to be a few board and card games, like checkers, chess, hearts, and spades. I would like to know what these are for. I’ve supplied a couple of photos in side the folders
of checkers and chess and some of the txt files inside of them. If anyone can tell me what these folders are for, i would like to know!
Oh wow, those seem like leftover files from old Steam versions, from when it had board games on the friends list.
Wow really? I didn’t even know that these existed. But why are these here?
I kinda like the idea of intergrated board games, shame they were removed.
Valve please add Snakes and Ladders to steam now.
I hope they bring it back as a minigame in BM…
If not, they better remove them altogether if they don’t serve any purpose anymore!
They’re most likely some leftovers.
