I hope it’s not running mac os :fffuuu:
Why?
Anyway, yeah I’m noticing a bit of downtime here and there, but when it’s not acting up I’m seeing no difference from this and the old one =]
Of course not CentOS FTW
Obscure Linux distros ftw xD
fix’d
Well I’ve been using Linux for years and I don’t recall it. So I guess I’m just outta the loop.
I visited their website after you mentioned it, and it didn’t ring any bells. Is it popular for home use or just servers?
Servers primarily
Ah, well that’s why I didn’t know about it Thanks for the info though! I feel SMARTER
haha np.
And btw, sorry for some of the server issues lately guys. Did some investigating and it looks like the latest cPanel build causes some issues with apache restarts which in our case can cause it to stop responding until it fixes itself or we restart apache manually. Still looking for a fix so hang in there if you are still having Connection timed out issues or something like that.
Thank you dear.
“Connection Timed Out”
Is how the computer tells you “I broke it cuz I felt like it”
So what’s the timeframe on this fix?
Well, I tried one thing the other day and I haven’t noticed it doing that any more. Although who knows, it could come back randomly…
Site just went up and down a few times in the last 30 or so minutes, everything OK?
Probably just apache being stupid. Nothing to worry about, hopefully cPanel has a fix soon bc I found a thread at the cPanel forums where a bunch of other people are also having similar issues.
Welcome back guys, the new server is indeed faster. :3
I saw some downtime today too. It’s been recurring since the switch, but the site works again after a few minutes.
Apache is still being a pain in the ass, its a cpanel bug, for some reason their new log rotation implementation does not work right at all… which causes the error/access logs to fill up very quickly, which then causes apache to stop responding, which is why everyones having issues >_> cPanel is working on a fix so hopefully soon, not much else we can do but wait
