Hey everybody, today I was going to play some Black Mesa, but after a few minutes I quit. Reasons: My weapons, except the Pistol and the crowbar were gone :fffuuu: The revolver, the crossbow, the grenades, the explosives, the mines, the shotgun and the MP were gone. And when the game was loading, there wasn’t any background picture, just the usual pattern when a skin for anything is missing in a source game. Anybody knows how to fix it?

I think you are missing files or you got corrupted files

Yeah, I already thought so, but how’s that possible? I didn’t change any of the files nor deleted any…
Okay, maybe I have to redownload the game, but how can I play my old savegames after installing it new? Or which files do I need to check if the guns are missing?
Have you tried loading an earlier save?
As far as I know, you don’t lose savedgames when reinstalling.
I did a reinstall like 9 times, and still got my old saves from 3 months ago in the load game menu.
Okay, and how do I reinstall it? Just use the setup.exe?
Download from a other mirror, extract all the files inside the .zip (rar?) file onto your desktop or somewhere else.Then delete BMS in the SourceMods folder, run blackmesa-setup.exe and install everything again.Restart Steam, and start the game.
Or you could try reinstalling from the same archive first to save bandwidth - if it worked at first then presumably the original files are good.
