Whats up with people coming on here to bug people.
Can we implement more security? The idea here is that if there is more of a hassle required to join less will join to troll.
Any ideas to stop these people?
Uh, a permaban after 3 trolling attempts?
Leave them to be, as you respond them more, they are enjoying.
We should preempt trolls by seeking them out and burning down their villages.
I believe that a more polite and respectful attitude from everyone who posts here, not only new users, will result in more harmony and less dickery.\
It’s quite simple, when posters flip out and start flame wars over stupid trivial shit in every single thread, that makes the forum very attractive to trolls. Because that’s what they love, to start flame wars. And when you make it easy for them to do this, obviously that’s going to encourage the endless cycle of flaming and trollery that we currently find ourselves in.
example: over 400 spam posts in a thread, because the OP spelled Gordan wrong. And you wonder why this forum is troll catnip.
I’d say reporting obvious trollery and doing what ram, Jameskane, The fridge, and rabid have been doing is pretty sufficient.
Imonfire was a long-time troll, but at least he kept it to the point.

anyway, if we were to tempban all of the people who derailed the thread in the “gordan freeman blocky” thread, this forum would get really quiet, really fast, and not to mention, we’d temporarily lose two particularly influential Moderators ( both Raw Bean and Broken fridge hinge have posted there)
thus leading to more trolling.
