Because Warhammer artworks are the very definition of overkill.
Pretty much, subtlety was killed in the great design war of 39 450.
Actually, if you look at chronology, the days when Emperor was sorta alive, w40k was way more overkill.

So I haven’t played SC yet but I have tried Warhammer 40K. I gotta say, it’s epic. Sure, it is a little bit overkill to have a giant robot with flamethrower fists kill ONE ork, but man is it fun
