Bumping 'cause I think I may have realized another issue.
My skybox is just that, a box, surrounding my entire map. I can only assume that’s not good at all. can anyone tell me if this is a big no-no like I suspect?

Try to make your skybox as small as possible (unless affects gameplay), the smaller the better.

I spy with my little eye a texture that comes from portal. :hmph:

It’s been in a few previous Mediaz screenies too, actually.

Though I had assumed that since those screens were pretty old, the devs had replaced them by now.
