Voteban Y/N

I would ban the entire forum if it was up to me, but that wouldn’t be very democratic.

I was going to report that but… …nevermind

VOTE FOR PEDRO

No. mga would make multiple accounts and ban basicly everyone. This was just an example of what could happen.

:3

IP filter, only 1 IP can vote?

Jingles, your a genius! :awesome:

inorite?

Or you could just, you know, not do it.

I like Spycrabz’ idea much better.

My issue is that the funniest members of this forum (MGA, por ejamplo) would get banned quickly and as a result there would be far fewer lulz.

I use proxies to get around these restrictions.

But honestly, as long as the moderators are doing their jobs, we won’t need this.

And the mods do their job… And more.

mga was found with no less than 4 ip addresses. Looking up my own ip address list shows about 20. Rebooting a modem is all that is needed to get a new ip address.

So IP parameters on anything is a weak way to do it.

You only count votebans from somebody with over 50 posts, or with a minimum reputation level or something.

Unless you have a static IP :3

Maybe we should use a punkbuster system and ban MAC addresses? :retard:

I can change my ip and mac address indefinitely.

Banning IPs is not effective if you deal with a professional troll/complete arse.
As for Voteban, I say “No”. Mods are doing a good job of banning failships and a board is no democracy. Members are members and alot of people would even /voteban if somebody’s opinion differs from their own. The -button works well to make mods aware of naughty behaviour.:3
