Video glitch makes ALL Steam games unplayable!

Yeah but you can also try dxlevel 90 (it’s not the highest level of detail, so you might not get the artifacts with that mode)

If you think it’s the skybox you can disable part of it by typing r_3dsky 0 in the console.

Using dxlevel 90 didn’t help any. 5 minutes into the game i had the same glitch but only once. i was able to continue for another hour without any interruptions. But i still can’t determine if 80 worked either. The problem comes up so randomly, i can never tell.

sigh

issue is related to video drivers get latest drivers and should be problem gone .
If Not Check your video card temperature by the gpu-z and if it’s hot you should clean it form dust and etc .

I used to get random polygons and texture pixels on my old GPU while playing Crysis for long periods, probably due to heat, but since I didn’t manage to fix the heat issue it ended up making the damage permanent. I recommend checking out the heat thing quickly, just in case.
If on the other hand it’s software, all I can suggest is trying different driver versions to see if any work, but with an intermittent issue like this every test is hard unless you manage to find a situation that replicates the issue reliably, so you can tell if the test worked or not…

Try pressing the windows button by ctrl and alt, its happened to me on an old computer once or twice and iv pressed it to go to windows and the game would be fine after that. If that doesnt work id say its a graphics card issue.
