ValveTime BlackMesa Gameplay footage

Even though most people aren’t a fan of the voice acting, I kind of like the “over the top” voice of the solders. Makes them look like plain 'ol, idiotic, bad guys. Which is cool. I mean, they’re just grunts. And I guarantee, if the voices had been more faithful to the originals, like Kevin and Mike’s were, there wouldn’t be an issue.

In other news, I am happy to report that the video has not reached the crevices of Machinima’s partner in crime, IGN.

I guess I’m thrown off because the scientists and guards all have a distinct non-gruff voice that was balanced off by the extreme harsh cancerous Buaaaaugh that was the hecu voice.

Oh ya I forgot about that video, and also xalaner did you get my friend request on steam?

^ lol

Has anyone realized that this tiny leak video is causing butthurt all across the whole damn Half-Life fanbase? Trolls and faggots are complaining on every site that this video was mentioned on, about the ironsights and voice acting and bullshit like that.
I mean who the fuck cares if there is ironsights or not? You don’t have to fucking use them. And if they think the voice acting is bad, then they shouldn’t fucking play the mod, if they have a damn problem with it, then they should fucking try to remake Half-Life themselves.

waits for cman to swoop in and quell the rabble with an official statement

If not, then Ram’s post was pretty nice in itself.

Welp, back to being confused, until an official statement from Carlos (this is still a thing happening, isn’t it?).

I guess the first instinct was right; this was an unwanted thing and it could hurt the developer team (most probably from having to deal with feedback they did not intend to deal with this soon, and from video footage that was not a general consensus to be publicized)

Anyway, I’m not complaining, and sorry that I contributed a bit to the spreading of these news (posted in some other forums about it, but made sure to have the facts as straight as possible and quoted Raminators explanation too). Hopefully, this will fade out quickly and the team can resume operations without distractions.

I barely look at the forum for a few months and look what happens. Holy shit. I feel my 2009 level of hype going on all over again.

Can we turn off the red marks that appear when you are being attacked?
is really annoying

They let you know which direction you’re being attacked from, but they do seem a little over reactive at times, when you’re being hit from in front all 3 top bars light up instead just the top one.

Sorry, I must have missed that.

Don’t be – it’s worth re-mentioning. Some people have it in their head that the uploader was some kind of secret asshole trying to bash the game. Which obviously isn’t the case.

I actually uploaded it because I thought it was pretty funny, the oh god was just what I thought when I heard the dialogue

I lost all my interests in things like that 2 or 3 years ago.

Advise me when they release the mod…

These trolls are probably the same people who post “LOL DEAD MOD IS DEAD” on every page of the moddb page.

Great comments on that article though.

That’s because they are professional journalists, who care for what sources they’re taking information from.

It most definitely are those always whining sons of bitches. oh well - there’s nothing to do about that. They just pop out of their dirtholes.

All the whining all round.
And i thought sour grapes was just a fable.

Got to hand it to Xalenar for setting that fag on Shogun Gamer straight.

You’re clearly a driven individual.

too bad that was only one of about a million fags out there…

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
