I think I’ve spotted gibbing in the earlier parts of the video around 40-45 seconds, when he throws the first grenade I think a leg or an arm flys off one of the marines, and the marine he shoots around 50 seconds in, his Beret (hat) came off.
You may have to adjust the brightness on the video to see these.
Why so worried? Much more people like it than not.
It looks great, actually the voice-acting made me laugh pretty hard, and in a good way.
With: “he will definitely pay… BOOM!”
I wouldn’t be too worried about it. They know why it happened and who did it. The only reason anyone has to be worried is:
A) Someone who shouldn’t have a build of the mod does
B) This person has more media he can leak out
C) They don’t exactly know how said person got access to the video
I trust (or at least hope) that the devs have a hand on things and can put this incident behind them and can move forward with whatever is next on their agenda. Whether that’s a release of the mod, continuing/rebooting the media campaign, or whatever else needs to be done to the mod.
It is entirely possible that it was intentional by someone, but the release of this video was NOT a universal consensus, as Raminator said. None of us knew we’d wake up this morning to find the video on YouTube.
Seems even though the team wanted to release a gameplay video sometime, this was not the right one and the wrong time. I was under the impression that it got out half-intentionally - as in terms of just too early. Now I’m feeling bad for the devs who didn’t want it coming out this way.
It will be a pain in the a** and a setback in the development process to take care of all the sites who re-upped it.
Don’t attempt to contribute to the discussion if you don’t know what’s going on. I never, ever said that I hate the developers. But on a more professional level, we will not be covering their mod again.
Well that just makes things more confusing. Others have said that the build in the video is just a few weeks old and that the music in the video was what is final. Maybe the rest of the team isn’t aware that the song was supposed to be changed?
So uhh should I take the link to the mirror I uploaded to dropbox for the 1080p film down? I really don’t wanna be banned? I didn’t know the devs cared.
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
