Most of what was in the leak but HL2 had already been cut by the time it was released by the hacker. And then there were the tech demos.

Man, It had pretty good art before it got hacked and the whole Episode 1-3 was in the whole thing. It was going to be a pretty long game too.

But no sense crying about it now. It’s way too late for a change. But maybe in a new Hl game like Hl 3, they’ll add that art again and much darker.

Well, there was ricochet, but L4D alone more than makes up for it.

Actually most of the leak content was the same locations redone multiple times. If you add in all of the removed content, without the redundancy of walking though the same bland locations multiple time, it might have added 3 or so hours. And who knows how much of it would be spent wandering around with no weapons or enemies.

Most of the ‘darkness’ shown in the old concepts were literally because the city was depicted at night.
