Also, I own Ricochet too. It was a silly game I played for abit when I got Half-Life Generation (boxset with HL, CS, TFC, Blue Shift, Opposing Force and small mods like Ricochet and some I can’t remember the names of).
Btw, I got Left 4 Dead for free but it was a gift after working on their Support Wiki and translating shit. Really didn’t expect them to give me a full game as well. A poster and a T-shirt was nice.

Maybe you should try introducing her to Team Fortress 2 when you have the money.
It is a lot more forgiving, and there are several classes(medic, engineer, etc) that don’t require much skill to play.

Its more like a serious ww2 version of Team Fortress 2… With a machinegun that shoots 1200 rounds per second.
I did that.
There is actually team work in it unlike in css, its CTF, and you don’t have to wait like 15 fucking minutes everytime you die for a new round.

EDIT: If you’re trying to get your girlfriend into shooter games, why not try a good singleplayer game with a great story? This might get her more involved compared to just mindless killing to get your score up. Bioshock might be a good start, hell… I hear some people find Half-Life 2 rather enjoyable 
If you really want her to play multiplayer games, you could just as easily’ve started with Team Fortress Forever, it’s free!
