Agreed. It probably wouldn’t have happened if you had asked to do that for TF2. Then again, it could be a combination of that and they could be rewarding you for approaching them first and not seeking to get a pirated copy of the game.

Valve would most likely give away the game Ricochet free instead. No one has heard of Ricochet. It is the least popular of Valve’s games. Gabe Newell has to hate this game more than Counter Strike: Source. At least CSS has good graphics unlike Half Life: Source. Ricochet is a game that I bet only 5% of the people on this forum know what I’m talking about.

I’ve got Ricochet, tried the game out for about 3 minutes, didn’t like it, never played it again. It’s a game you would play for sentimental value, rather than because it’s actually fun.
