Valve at E3 2012

fat chance

seems legit.

I.T.

i just hope whatever they do, they’ll never leave PC gaming :fffuuu:

Half-Life: Origins?

Of course they don’t, that’s why they have steam to support PC Games.

And it looks like they are really going to show a new hardware concept. They even have patented a gamepad.

This just came out on IGN. perhaps we’ll see this there? Steam Box.

Half-Life 3/Next installment in Half-Life is Valve’s Trump card when the economy gets real tough here. They won’t release unless they are hurting really bad. Think about it, guaranteed fans for as long as they’re willing hold out.

Or

They won’t release because they know everyone is desperate for information and they like seeing their fans squirm like worms whenever some rumor like this pops up.

Gabe “We’ll get the private room this year at E3, it’s easy publicity. Go ahead and start the rumor mill up as well, and prepare a nice presentation for Counter Strike 2.”

Ye, and Half-Life 3 will be exclusive on this console!

I don’t really see the point of this. Won’t it basically be a PC? I just hope I don’t have to buy this thing and can just stick with my computer.

It will be a pc, just like the original XBOX

I’d bet money it’s not a console. That’s just journalists being lazy.

Everything that’s “leaked” points to an open hardware standard that works in the living room. It sounds to me like they want to bring an open experience to console players, as well as get their new biometrics peripherals out to people who aren’t just PC gamers.

So yeah, it does sound kind of like a PC that also works in the living room (in terms of hardware), but that’s also not quite right. One of the PC’s main problems as a media center is the level of commitment it takes to make it work in the living room, and the lack of good UIs for doing so.

There’s no way in hell that Steam on PCs won’t support everything this does. That would totally stupid. This isn’t about replacing the PC, it’s about broadening the PC-like experience.

The article I read that compared it to the upcoming Apple TV was a lot closer to what’s probably going on here: a more open, comprehensive living room product that combines some of the best things about PC’s, consoles, and other media centers, and brings in some completely new input devices.

Well, two games thare are already in public Beta?

DOTA 2 and CS:GO.

But a presentation room for just these two games that are already in beta? I don’t think so.

Half-Life 2.85157457324: The Adventures of Dickslap Freeman

New game changing portal 2 DLC

Yeah, of course…

:stuck_out_tongue:

PvP

They have cut competetive multiplayer.

That’s the point of a game changing suprise

Why should they implement a mode that they have cut, because it didn’t make fun?

Because the gamers haven’t seen what were they working on & they could completely overhaul it?

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
